As sustainability has always been the guiding line for the activities of Organica Consulting, we actively seek partnerships with like-minded organizations and local communities to drive collective action towards sustainability goals.
Following this directive, Organica Consulting has been directly engaged in environmental projects focused on forest management and greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions.
We are currently committed to the development of a REDD+ project in the region of Urucará, Amazonas. For this project, we have been working in collaboration with local actors, giving support by providing our experience in project management and giving technical assistance to their activities, in actions such as implementation of conservation measures, monitoring of deforestation, georeferencing, capacity building of local communities and other related actions necessary to achieve the project’s objective of preserving 43,000 ha of Amazon rainforest through forest conservation and sustainable forest management.
We are also engaged in assisting another project elaborated in collaboration with Brazilian and international entities, supported also by policies from a German government program. Aimed to source ingredients that will be transformed into natural extracts from various plants, this project will set up the training of farmers to produce and collect organic and Faitrade certified plants from the Brazilian Amazon and Atlantic Forests, while ensuring technology transfer to local partners.
By harnessing the power of renewable resources and adopting eco-friendly practices, through our collaboration with these projects we aim to actively contribute to the global effort to combat climate change and preserve natural ecosystems.
